October news!!

I am just not ready for the holidays. Now that October has arrived it has my mind focused on Christmas (ugh.) That always seems to feel overwhelming to me but I am comforted in knowing I am not alone ;)
We have been busy this last week where dogs are concerned. As most of you know we adopted a dog several months ago named "Abby." We have since had to find her a home where a lot of land would be available to her. Thankfully she is with her new owners who live on three acres with a pond where she can now RUN!!!! At the same time we came across a lost dog which we ended up enjoying for about a week until we found her owner. Again, that very same day we lost two dogs and gained a new one. For the record THIS IS THE LAST ONE LOL!!!! He is min pug/min Schnauzer. He is expected to stay very, very small. He is now eight weeks and has taken to everyone (even the baby.) We have named him "Toby" he has been a great joy to all of us.

Zackery has gone about a month now without any seizures. I was able to get with his Physical Therapist Tuesday who agreed he had come so far it was no longer needed. So, they will be working with me and Zackery on his speech. We are praying his seizures stay at bay so that he can just enjoy being the little guy he was meant to be (healthy, happy and learning.)

The other children are doing great! Joshua recently got a haircut and any of you who know him know this was not easy for him. His hair was so long and created many issues for him AND his parents ;) Now that he can see and we can better see him his attitude has done yet another spin for the better. I/we are so proud of him and what a young man he was to make that choice. He recently let us in on another choice he has been thinking a lot on and that is to enter the Force. We will be going to the National Guard office next week where they will be talking to him and explaining all his choices etc. His father and I are VERY proud of him and excited for him but scared to. This has been a topic for two years. Since he will be 15 this coming year the National Guard has options for him to start thinking on. Please pray for his choices as this is such and important choice for him. We love you son!!!

I will see about getting more pictures on here.....Kim??? LOL (Hey, Leanna, your Sister here....new picture up top...what do you think? Also, see other new photo on the left side bar, under Abby.)
Love to all!!

Leanna~
